Yufei Chen, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Computer Science and Technology, Tongji University. She previously served as a guest researcher at the Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics Research (Fraunhofer IGD), Germany.

Her main research interests lie in machine learning and medical data analysis, with a focus on multi-source medical image fusion and decision-making risk in intelligent medical diagnosis systems. She has proposed multiple safe and trustworthy deep learning methods and translated them into real-world clinical applications. She has published 100+ papers in top-tier journals and conferences, including TMI, TNNLS, TCSVT, MIA, NeurIPS, CVPR, ICLR, AAAI, ACM MM, MICCAI, and BIBM, etc. She holds 19 granted invention patents, and has contributed as a core member to the development of three group standards.

In recent years, she has led more than 20 research projects, including projects funded by the National Key R&D Program of China, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Key Project of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, among others. As a principal contributor, she has received multiple honors, including the First Prize of Shanghai Technical Invention Award, the Third Prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award, the Third Prize of Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, and the First Prize of Ningbo Science and Technology Progress Award. She has also won the Second Prize in the National Teaching Innovation Competition of China, and the Special Prize in the Teaching Innovation Competition of Shanghai. Over the past five years, she has supervised students to win 18 awards at international, national, and provincial-level competitions.

In addition, she serves as Chair of MICCAI-CLIP, Education Chair of MICCAI-SIG-xMedIA, Committee Member of the National Technical Committee on Biomimetics Standardization, Vice Chair of MICS Webinar, and Executive Committee Member of the CCF Technical Committee on Computer Applications, etc.
